PerkinElmer's GC 2400. A GC instrument is used analyze injected samples to determine how much and what is in the sample. The images showcase the overall GC 2400. 

As a mechanical engineer on the project I was responsible for engineering and designing the follow components: 

-Internal Frame including weight bearing calculations for 120lb instrument

-Internal oven with a maximum operating temp of 450 Celsius

-Door for consumer access into oven chamber.

-Sheet metal and injection molded plastic parts and coverings

-With the direction of industrial Design, look and feel of the instrument

-Safety measures to project users from multiple hazards

-Took instrument from concept to sellable product.
